Dog Reactivity
& Recall Specialist

Helping dogs and their owners find calm, confidence, and freedom.

We Understand
Living with a reactive dog is exhausting. The stress, embarrassment, and anxiety wear you down. We work with reactive dogs every day, so nothing you’re dealing with is a surprise to us.
Proven Results
Our training is structured, fair, and tailored to each dog, focusing on clear communication and consistency — not endless management or temporary fixes.
You’ll know what to do
Training doesn’t stop when the session stops. We make sure you know how to handle real situations, not just controlled setups.
The Dog Educator

I once was a client...

Before I was "The Dog Educator" I brought home a dog called Bella. As a first-time dog owner, I thought it would be easy — calm walks, off-leash freedom, a real partnership.

Instead, our walks were chaos. Constant pulling, zero recall, chasing anything that moved. I wasn’t walking my dog — I was being dragged around by her. Then the reactivity started. That was the wake-up call.

I realised the problem wasn’t Bella. It was me. I hadn’t ignored her issues — I simply didn’t know which advice to trust or how to communicate clearly with my dog.

Once I learned the right methods, everything changed. What began as training my own dog became a passion for helping owners who feel just as stuck, overwhelmed, and unsure as I once did.

FAQ Section - The Dog Educator

The Questions I Get Asked The Most.

Where are you based?
I’m based in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, and offer in-person training sessions in your home across Hertfordshire and London.
What types of dogs do you work with?
I work with all breeds, from small companion dogs to large, powerful breeds. I have extensive experience with both and my training is always adjusted to the dog in front of me.
Do I need a phone call assessment?
Yes. A free phone call assessment is required before training begins. This allows me to understand your dog, your goals, and any behavioural concerns, so I can recommend the most suitable training plan.
What training methods do you use?
I don’t follow a one-size-fits-all system. Training is adapted to each dog’s behaviour, breed tendencies, drive, and mindset, using clear communication and structure to create reliable results without confusion or guesswork.
Is my dog too old for training?
No dog is too old for training. I work with dogs of all ages, including older dogs. While older dogs may take a little longer to learn, effective progress can be made at any age.
Do you only work with reactive dogs?
Whilst reactivity is my specialty, I’m happy to work with dogs of all temperaments — reactive or not. Whether you want to address reactivity or simply achieve reliable recall, better manners, or everyday obedience, training is tailored to your dog’s needs and your goals.

Dog Training Hertfordshire. Reactive dog training is one of my areas of expertise, where I focus on mitigating and modifying undesirable behaviors exhibited by dogs in response to stimuli. Whether it’s reactivity towards other dogs, or people, I employ effective techniques to promote positive behavioral changes. Lead pulling, a common concern for many dog owners, is another issue I address. Through structured training, I help dogs learn to walk calmly on a lead, making walks more enjoyable for both the dog and the owner. I teach both loose lead walking and heel walking where loose lead walking involves your dog being able to be free and sniff but maintain a loose lead at all times and where heel walking involves your dog walking right by your side, even if there are distractions or competing motivators.
